Zone 0
0–5 ft
Ember-resistant zone. No combustible mulch, plants under windows, debris, or wood structures touching the home. New rules in effect.
Zone 1
5–30 ft
Lean, clean, and green. Trimmed trees, spaced plants, no dead vegetation, 10 ft between tree canopies and structures.
Zone 2
30–100 ft
Reduce fuel. Grass to 4", 10 ft between trees, prune branches 6 ft up. Required at point of sale in High and Very High zones (AB 38).
